Peer Reviewer Process
INSORA: Journal of Islamic Society and Human Relations applies a peer-review process to ensure the quality, originality, relevance, and academic integrity of manuscripts considered for publication.
1. Initial Editorial Screening
All submitted manuscripts are initially screened by the editors to determine their relevance to the journal's focus and scope, completeness, and compliance with the author guidelines. Manuscripts that do not meet the basic requirements may be returned to the authors or rejected at the initial stage.
2. Reviewer Assignment
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to reviewers with relevant expertise and academic competence. The journal seeks to avoid potential conflicts of interest when selecting reviewers.
3. Peer Review
Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on academic quality, originality, methodology, clarity of analysis, relevance of discussion, use of references, and the manuscript's contribution to the field.
4. Review Recommendation
Reviewers may provide one of the following recommendations:
- Accept
- Minor Revision
- Major Revision
- Reject
5. Revision
When revisions are required, authors are asked to revise their manuscripts based on the reviewers' comments and recommendations. Authors should provide clear responses to the reviewers' comments and submit the revised manuscript through the OJS system.
6. Editorial Decision
The editor makes the final decision based on the review results, the quality of the revisions, and editorial considerations. The editor may accept the manuscript, request further revisions, or reject the manuscript.
7. Confidentiality and Ethics
The entire review process is conducted confidentially. Reviewers must not use, disclose, or exploit information contained in the manuscript for personal purposes. Reviewers are also required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
